Hooters Plaza

At nearby Jungmun, there's a place called Hooters Plaza. Only thing is, there's no actual Hooters restaurant there. Apparently the Hooters developers bought the plaza with plans to build a centerpiece Hooters-to-end-all-Hooters. Then the money must have dried up, because they never built the restaurant. That didn't stop them from leaving the Hooters Plaza sign up.
They've also got a 'Believe it or not! Coffee' place. Believe it or not, I might try it out one day for shits and giggles.
Ever get the feeling you're sleepwalking through life?

  1. I've been told local Koreans protested was the reason why it wasn't built...too bad, it probably would have brought it a lot more money and tourism. I would have gone.

They have one in Seoul I believe...

  2. Oh yeah, Hooters would be scandalous, as opposed to the dozen or so types of business in Korea that openly cater to giving married men handjobs.

"handjob parlors are not unsavory" says What Happens on Where the Streets Have No Names, Stays on Where the Streets Have No Names. By the way, What... has an F2 visa.
