I've talked about oreums before - they're the nearly 400 volcanic pimple cones that dot Jeju. Last weekend I blasted up one with Cobain in search of adventure. You heard me. This one is rare in that it holds a small wetland on top, which is home to some rare-ish birds. Plenty of finches up there. I love a good hike, but damn, this one was 90% stairs. It's been almost a week, and my rusty calves are still sore. I hate stairs. Buckets of white-ass deer were hanging out, both at the top, and at the base. Water oreum!
