Ghosts, old ones

A hangar is visible just to the left of the propeller, nine others in the distance.
Almost stepped on a viper here.
I've mentioned the Alddreu airfield in the southwest of Jeju before - it's an old Japanese kamikaze strip that's now a series of potato fields.  Only the concrete hangars and hardened anti-aircraft positions remain.  Some artist built a Japanese Zero fighter out of rebar, and plopped it in the parking lot.  It's actually pretty cool.
It takes me back to the days when my bored friend Resolute built a seven foot-long, life-size mock-up of a Hawker Hurricane's cockpit in his living room.  It was a real conversation starter.  We did a lot of wacky shit back then.
