The Barn Swallows are back in Seogwipo. 'Jebi', in Korean. I've always liked them. They mean spring is here, and they'll be whizzing past my window all summer. Well, as much of the summer as I'll see here. We'll be seeing about that. Anyhizzles, I was surprised to see them in the park in my backyard. It's my park. I own it. I sat there in the sun and watched the swallows zing inches past my large head for the better part of half an hour. Didn't get a good pic of course, they're too fast and awesome. They are my spirit guide.
Incidentally, sailors used to get tattoos of Barn Swallows because they spoke to the hope of returning home safely after a long, hard voyage. Huh.
