Jeju is purty
My former sentence in Korea was served up near the nork border in Gimpo and Ilsan. Nice enough towns, but I found myself going nuts on weekends cooped up in crazy little ant colony cities. I tried to get out to the islands in the Yellow Sea as much as possible on weekends. I told myself that if I came back to Korea, it would be to an island.
So how does Korean island life compare to Korean city life? Well I do live in a city, or at least a town. The great part is that I can walk anywhere in the town in about 20 minutes max. And it is scenic as hell. Volcanic rock, orange trees, ocean-scapes, and Mount Halla, which always hovers above me, looking over my shoulder, like lyrics to a Mudhoney song. Purty.
