Last Saturday I went to nearby Jungmun beach to check out the Korean version of a polar bear swim - the penguin swim. Snowy and windy as a dog on fire. Pretty fun, lots of sub-zero speedo calisthenics, tangerine-juice wrasslin', and jump-in-cold-water hilarity. Met some other waygooks and ate some free pork soup. Good times. There were lots of news cameras eager to capture smiling foreigners tucking into Korean food. Apparently I missed a Hooded Crane by mere minutes, so I'll have to go back and have another look.
